BEAR 1

In the wild, a lion, a tiger and a bear would never be friends, but these three are an exception to that rule, they haven’t left each other’s side for more than 15 years.

These firm friends were saved from a sad life when they were found as cubs in the basement of a house during a drug raid in Atlanta, US.

Leo the lion, Shere Khan the Tiger and Baloo the Black Bear are now living a happy life at Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary (NAAS) in Locust Grove, Georgia.

Because of the severity of their injuries it was not possible to release them back into the wild and they have lived like a family at the sanctuary ever since.

They are never short of showing their affection for each other.

Like all cats big or small, Sheer Khan gives Baloo a headbump.

And Baloo goes in with a kiss.

This unlikely threesome do everything together and show each other love and affection every day.

Without the help of NAAS, who knows what kind of miserable life they would have had.

Now they will live out their lives together in safety in this sanctuary with all the care that can be provided for them.

UPDATE: Sadly, Sheer Khan and Leo are no longer with us, but their memory lives on in everyone that has seen what an amazing friendship these three unlikely friends had together.

Baloo continues to live at the sanctuary and gets plenty of love and attention, although he misses his brothers, he is a very happy and healthy bear.
