There’s a delightful grey kitty that’s been taking Instagram by storm. Her name is Midas and she’s already amassed over 355k followers.

Midas is no ordinary kitty, she was born with two sets of ears and a defective jaw due to a genetic mutation.

But all this doesn’t stop Midas leading an ordinary life AND becoming an Internet sensation.

She was adopted by Canis Dosemeci who lives in Ankara, Turkey, after being born in a friend’s backyard with five other siblings.

Canis knew from the moment she saw her that she wanted to adopt Midas, she felt that because of her condition she would have trouble finding a home.

“We have never thought of buying a cat, we just wanted to rescue a cat from the street, and we wanted to adopt her,” said Canis, who lives with two Golden Retrievers called Zeyno and Suzi.

Midas settled in quickly to her new life and it didn’t take her long to bond with her canine siblings who she loves to cuddle with.

She tends to sleep most of the day and is awake all night, but she’s a very playful kitty, especially when she is given yarn, and is also very friendly.

Canis gets messages from people all over the world, she said:

“People are so surprised, they can’t believe it. Everyone wants to come to see her, or they want photos. Some people also find her scary, but generally people think her sympathetic.”

Through her Instagram account, with the help of Midas, Canis hopes to make people realize that it’s much better to adopt a kitty in need then buy one from a shop.

And ss we have always said at Cats and Kittens “don’t shop, adopt! “
