Cat Helps Lost Baby Squirrels Reunite With Their Mom

These baby squirrels were knocked out of their nest during a cyclone that had winds up to 80 miles an hour. Their mom was nowhere to be seen so the family that found them decided to take them home and care for them. Months earlier they had rescued Hetty, a tiny kitten that they had found all alone in need of care and attention.

When they introduced Hetty to the babies she was very curious, but soon loved being with them and keeping them safe and warm. A few days later the family heard a squirrel calling and wondered whether it could be their mother. So they put one of the babies out on the porch to see if he would respond to her calls. Before long he began to call back to her and within minutes the mother arrived on the porch to claim her babies.
