Gretchen is a policewoman in the Miami area and while on patrol she was coming across some feral cats which she starting feeding and then one day she came across some kittens. She knew she had to do something. So she started taking them in.

She learned how to care for them and help them eventually find their forever home. Young kittens need to be fed every couple of hours so Gretchen would take the kittens into work with her where she set up a kitty nursery in the locker room.

Every few hours she would come back from patrol, feed them and then go back out on the road. The system worked well and all the other cops at the station loved them too. What a wonderful, compassionate and hardworking woman.
