This lucky kitty met his hero on the night of a full moon.

Officer Matt Froseith rescued him when he was stuck in a ditch buried in three feet of snow.

Meet Donut!

It all began when Officer Matt heard a little cry that sounded like a kitten.

He decided to follow the sound and as he approached a ditch the cries got louder and louder.

Under the light of the full moon, he found a tiny black kitten that was desperately crying out for his help.

He shuffled through the snow drift and before long the kitten was safely in his arms.

He headed back to his squad car as quickly as he could to get the little one warmed up.

Matt knew he would have to get the little kitty to a vet as soon as possible if he had any chance of survival.

So he alerted his dispatch team and rushed him to the vet, after getting a clean bill of health it was time to find the little black kitten a home.

The police department then posted pics of their officer with the kitty in case someone would claim him.

However, this kitty didn’t want to be anywhere else except by his rescuers side.

He knew what he needed and that was Officer Matt!

He was always climbing onto his shoulder or curling up in his hands.

After some thought, Matt gave in to those cute brown eyes and decided to adopt him.

He named him Donut and is now officially part of this kind man’s family.

You could say he’s become Matt’s perfect little feline partner, because Donut follows him everywhere he goes.

Nothing makes Donut happier than cuddling with his favorite human.
