Meet Chestnut, the Laughing Cat that Became a Famous “Cat Joke” Meme

The internet loves cats and the internet loves memes. In fact the only thing it loves more is cat memes! This is chestnut, he’s a very photogenic cat, he even has his own Instagram account. Chestnut’s human decided to upload some of his smiling pics to Reddit And since then everyone has been falling in love with this beautiful smiling kitty. He looks as if he’s telling you a funny joke and he thinks it’s uproariously funny. That’s when everybody started putting words in his mouth.

In an interview Chestnut’s human revealed some details about this laughing kitty. He explained that he had originally been abandoned at a pet store when he was a kitten. Luckily, he’s a lot healthier and happier nowadays, as well as being a viral sensation. His human believes he is a cross between a tabby and a Bengal cat.

He certainly does have a beautiful coat. He’s a bit of a playful cat, often running around in the early hours of the morning and having lots of fun with the other cat in the household, Clyde. The meme format is definitely a wholesome one! With Chestnut telling you a joke and then laughing happily at the punchline. Dad jokes are some lot of a misunderstood category, and opinions are divided. Some people love them, others not so much.

Chestnut’s human is totally amazed at just how much attention this little guy is getting. He never expected him to be so popular.
