A patrol woman at the Gir Forest National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary – the only natural habitat for Asiatic Lions – found a lion cub after he was abandoned by his mother at three days old. They spotted the mother and tried many times to return him where he belonged but she kept abandoning him.
We meet them 3 months later and see the same patrol woman acting as surrogate mother for the young lion cub. He’s a feisty little thing but sadly cannot be released back into the wild as he would have little chance of survival.
