Mama Cat Who Lost All Her Kittens Saves a Tiny Orphan’s Life

A mama cat named Ember suffered a great tragedy, but as fate would have it she was in the right place at the right time.
Meet Flame!
This tiny ginger kitten was very sick when he arrived at the Atlanta Humane Society (AHS), he surely needed a miracle to survive.
That miracle came in the form of Ember, a very special mama cat.
Just a week before Mother’s Day, mama cat Ember experienced a tragedy when all her newborn kitties died.
“She had lost all of her babies,” explained Christina Hill, director of marketing and communications for AHS, “but not her motherly instinct.”
So, when the time came for Ember to meet tiny Flame, it was no surprise that she started showering the tiny thing with love.
This special mama cat took to the little ginger and started caring for him as her own.
“The two had an immediate bond,” Christina said.
“The grieving mom immediately took to the tiny kitten, grooming him, cuddling him and letting him nurse.”
Both mama cat and baby feline are in foster care and will be up for adoption soon.
“It’d be absolutely adorable if they could be adopted together,” Christine added.
“They would love it! And two cats is always better than one.”
Let’s hope that this delightful coupling get the opportunity to stay together.
