Grandpa Mason is an ancient, battle-scarred feral cat with terminal kidney disease. He was brought into TinyKittens HQ during a big Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) event and when they discovered how ill he was it was decided that instead of euthanizing him, they felt he deserved a chance to experience comfort and freedom from pain in his sunset months.

He was taken home by one of the workers and even though his feral instincts remained strong when it came to humans, he revealed a marshmallowy center when he met a group tiny rescue kittens that were being fostered at the same home. The kittens swarmed over to Mason’s lair and started climbing all over him, really invading his personal space. His carer was worried what his reaction might be, but there was no need – just hear him purr. I guess he just needed some kitten company!
