Somehow we missed it here at Cats and Kittens but the 4th of June was international hug your cat day!
But luckily for us, Cole and Marmalade’s human Chris has provided us with a great video outlining what hugging is all about in his house.
This adorable little kitten is learning to feed from a bottle for the first time, but he’s a bit feisty and all he wants to do is bite the nipple! Eventually his foster mum helps him get the hang of it and then there’s no stopping him.
I’m sure he’s gonna grow up to be a strong and playful cat, don’t you?

This is Frankie, a beautiful Siamese who’s a very helpful kitty!Every day at the appropriate time he sits by the door waiting for the mailman. And once the mail is through the letter box he takes it straight to his human.

They say there’s a first time for everything and that’s exactly what these adorable little kittens are doing when they drink some water for the first time.
How cute is that?
Here’s Maru chilling out on his own, just passing the time of day. But wait, don’t we usually see Maru in a box? We know his love of boxes is highly entertaining for us, whether he’s jumping in and out of them or sliding on the floor in them or even wearing them!
But wait, all is not as it seems…………
It’s feeding time at the farm for a young goat and lamb but kitty is quickly on the scene because she wants to share their bottle with them. And as you can see she is crazy for that goats milk, so much so that the other two can hardly get a look in! I think that in the future they need to get more bottles!
It’s true that every now and then we all need a bit of time to ourselves.
This is definitely the case with the black and white foster kitty in this video. He’s worked out that the best place to have some ‘me’ time is in the bedroom closet…….

We’ve met these 9 cats before and there’s no doubt they love to play together and have a lot of fun. So their humans decided to create a grid of cardboard boxes for them, it’s like their very own cat maze! As you can see, endless fun can be had as they all soon join in and interact with each other….
Cats are very clever creatures and if they want to do something they usually find a way. With that in mind see how Buttercup the Ragdoll cat views the outside world by hanging from a doorway window.
I certainly haven’t seen a cat do that before!

May is National Pet Cancer Awareness Month. Six million pets in the U.S. alone will get the big “C” diagnosis this year. It’s a shocking statistic but the odds of surviving increase with early detection. There are so many clues to cancer in cats, it helps to be a detective to zero in on early signs.
Sometimes our kitties get really confused when they see themselves in a mirror. Is that me? Or is it another cat? Could this be a new playmate or is this cat staring at me a potential threat?

This is over the top cute. We see three adorable Scottish Fold kittens hanging out together. But when their human yawns to starts off a chain reaction! It’s true what they say, that yawning is contagious, even between humans and cats and the three kitties in this video are the proof of it!
Zookeeper Kevin Richardson has a great relationship with the lions that are in his care. He sees them on a daily basis and this has created an amazing bond between them. You can see in the video that there is one lioness in particular that completely adores Kevin and loves to give him hugs and kisses.
These kitties love their new game of whack-a-mole that their caring human has made them. He obviously loves his cats very much because as you can see it’s a deluxe version of the game and the moles have been substituted for little mice to attract the kitties attention.

Maru’s back and as well as showing us his love for all things ‘box’ he’s letting us know that he has a great sense of humour.
Hana doesn’t know quite what to make of Maru’s latest antics, he really is a very special kitty.
This delightful little kitten has obviously had a hard day.
He tries ever so hard to stay awake but it’s all too much and while trying to keep an eye on his human he soon succumbs to the pleasure of sleeping on his human’s lap.
What a sweet sweet video.
Cats love to bring us presents, with mine it’s usually a mouse. However this cat obviously loves his humans very much because by day he appears to be like any other house cat, but by night he becomes a notorious burglar and has a reputation for stealing the neighbours things!

Mine has an old plastic golf ball that she’s had since she was a kitten (she is now 16 yrs old) . We’ve tried her with other toys but she soon grows tired of those and always goes back to her golf ball.
