We are building the definitive YouTube channel for videos of Cats and Kittens and we’d love you to help us out with your cat videos.

Although we are just starting out with this YouTube channel, we have already got a LOT of experience of cat videos and very quickly videos on our YouTube channel will be seen by a lot of people who love cats.

If you want to get your video clips seen by lots of cat lovers then you’ll need to upload them to us.

Most importantly – PLEASE only send us video clips that you own – not video clips that you’ve seen elsewhere. We need to know that you can give us permission to use the clips.

When you have a funny, cute, amazing or adorable clip of your cat, or cats or kittens, then you’re going to need to get it to us.

This is ‘How to Submit’:

Before you begin – read ‘THE TERMS‘ at the bottom of this page and make sure you are happy for us to use your video clip.

Step 1: Please try to send us only the ‘good part’ of your video. If you have 15 minutes footage of your cat or kitten and somewhere in there is 30 seconds of brilliant video, please try to clip that bit and send us just that 30 seconds.

Step 2: You need to upload the file to somewhere and email us the download link to contact [at] welovecatsandkittens.com. Please DO NOT send the video attached to an email. This will break my computer!!

Step 3: We recommend using:

Dropbox – if you know this service, it’s easy to send us a link to your file – https://www.dropbox.com/help/274/en; OR

We Transfer – https://www.wetransfer.com/howitworks; OR

Hightail / YouSendit – https://www.hightail.com/solutions/send-large-video-files

They are reasonably easy to use once you give them a go.

Step 4: Tell us a little bit about the clip. The name of the cat and why you think it’s funny, cute or worth sharing.

Step 5: Please add this line of text to your email – ‘I agree that welovecatsandkittens.com may use this video clip on the terms displayed on their website’.

We won’t be able to answer everyone who sends us a clip, but we will do our best to let you know if we are going to use it.

If you don’t hear from us, please don’t be disappointed and do keep sending us your clips.

THE TERMS that apply to all videos submitted to us are as set out as follows.

These terms apply to all videos submitted to use in any of the ways set out above whether the same have been used by us on our YouTube channel or at all. If we have not, to your knowledge, used a video submitted by you to us, please contact us before granting any rights to a third party.

1. You warrant that all the content in any video submitted to us is owned and controlled by you and our use of the clip will not infringe the rights of any third party.

2. You agree that you are granting us the exclusive right and licence to use your video clip in an all media in perpetuity without any payment to you, such use including but not limited to our YouTube channel and Vimeo channel.

3. As between us, you will retain the copyright in and to your video, but you will not grant any third party the right to use the video without reference to us.

4. You will not upload the video or part thereof to any other YouTube or Vimeo Channel.

5. We may use the video submitted by you in its entirety or in any manner edited or compiled with other videos as we may in our discretion decide.

6. We shall be free to title the video in any manner we see fit.

7. We shall be free to licence the video, either as submitted, or as compiled with other clips, to third parties without further reference to you.

8. We shall use our best endeavours to credit you as the owner of the video wherever we use the same but our failure to do so shall not be a breach of the licence.
