Family Celebrates Kitten With Newborn Photoshoot

There’s nothing better in a family than the excitement of bringing home a new bundle of joy…

Especially when it’s an adorable kitten!

This was the case for five-year-old Amelie, her mother, who is a professional photographer, documented in pictures the happiness of her family’s new addition when they adopted green-eyed Luna, a tiny black kitten who was in need of a loving home.

It wasn’t long before Amelie and Luna, two young girls together, formed a special bond.

“Wherever Amelie is, the kitten is not far behind. They even sleep together!” Kitty Schaub, Amelie’s mother, told iHeartCats.

“Luna is now about 10 weeks old, and is either sleeping sweetly on someone’s lap, or terrorizing the dog and climbing in the plants.”

Amelie’s mom, who as a photographer loves taking photos of children and babies, was able to use her experience to create these memorable moments on film.

It seemed like the right thing to do to have a newborn photoshoot with their newest member of the family.

 And as you can see, the results are simply adorable!

And Luna is the purr-fect subject…

She’s a natural…

The photos of Luna were so well received that Kitty decided to make calendars and sell them to raise money for a local animal rescue called Save-A-Stray.

All profits of the calendar went to the organization, which helps rescue, rehabilitate and re-home homeless pets!
