When a woman rescued a homeless cat from underneath a car she had no idea what was going to happen next!

Claire lives in Montreal, Canada, and one day on her way to work she spotted a calico kitty hiding under a car.

She was concerned for the cat so she returned in her lunch break a couple of hours later and the cat was still there.

Even though the little kitty was scared she let Claire come close to her, it was as if she wanted to be helped.

So Claire gently picked her up and took her back to the office. After giving her some food and water, the little calico relaxed and got some much-needed rest.

Claire needed to know if this sweet kitty had a home to go to so she asked around to see if anyone was missing a cat. Some of the neighbors said they had seen her around but nobody came forward to claim her.

Later that day, Claire asked around the neighborhood to see if someone was missing a cat. A few neighbors said they had seen the kitty roam around the area, but no one came to claim her.

So that was it, Claire took the kitty home and arranged a trip to the vet. She wasn’t microchipped but they did get a surprise, she was pregnant, and had three little babies inside her belly.

Hadrian, a friend, offered to foster the kitty so she could have a safe place to have kittens and contacted a local rescue group, Chatons Orphelins Montréal for help. They named her Ciboulette.

Ciboulette adjusted quickly to  indoor life and was no longer scared, she soon began to ask for attention from her new human friends.

“The first night, she started to purr and became very comfortable around her foster family,” explained Hadrian.

One evening, Hadrian heard incessant meows coming from the kitty room, Ciboulette was calling to her foster dad, she was going into labor and wanted to have someone she trusted by her side.

She gave birth to three beautiful kittens, they were named Minici, Arbok and Mary, they were polydactyl  which means they all had extra toes.

Ciboulette was a great mom and gave her kittens round the clock care while Hadrian made sure her food and water bowls were always full.

Before long the kittens had blossomed in size and personality, they spent most of their time hanging out on their foster dad’s bed or running around like they owned the place.

“Arbok (ginger and white) is very adventurous and loves to play and explore. Minici (calico) is quiet but full of sass.

Mary the ginger is the calmest of all. She likes to climb anything in her way.”

The kittens are now five weeks-old, they are all healthy, plump and learning to eat solid food with the occasional snack provided by mom.

What a delightful, gorgeous family with lots of jellybean toes!
