Clever Stray Outside Store Leads Compassionate Woman to His Favorite Food and Gets Adopted

Meet Conejo, an adorable kitty that proves the saying "We don’t choose cats — they choose us."

His extraordinary journey not only changed his life but also transformed the life of his chosen human, Tania.

When Tania was out shopping one day, she spotted a tailless cat hanging out in front of her local supermarket.

 Being a kind person, she couldn't resist giving this stray kitty a gentle pat.

Little did she know that this would lead to a lifelong bond.

However, Conejo was not content with just a brief cuddle from Tania and he boldly followed her into the supermarket.

What happened next left Tania utterly astonished.

This clever kitty wasted no time and hurriedly made his way to the cat food aisle, using his paw to point out his preferred choice.

It was that moment of sheer brilliance that instantly won Tania's heart.

She made the decision there and then to welcome Conejo into her life and home.

Tania decided to named him Conejo, which translates to "rabbit" in Spanish, she thought this a fitting name for a cat with no tail.

Then Tania noticed he had multiple wounds all over his body.

She had no idea if these injuries were the result of battles with other animals or the unfortunate actions of someone who had harmed him.

Thankfully, Conejo's injuries were not severe, and with a little medical care, he was on the road to recovery and leaving his life on the streets behind.

As the days passed, Conejo's transformation was nothing short of remarkable.

His appearance soon changed from a battered street cat into a handsome and dignified feline.

Looking at him now, it's difficult to imagine that he once roamed the streets, struggling to find food and shelter.

Thanks to Tania's unwavering care and love, he now thrives and feels part of a loving family, he is finally getting the happiness he truly deserves.

Tania reflects: "We didn't have any animals, but I think he taught us a great lesson that we must show respect, love, and empathy towards other beings."

She knows that in turn he played a pivotal role in helping her overcome the depths of depression. 

With his calming presence and unconditional love, Conejo has been a source of solace and healing for Tania.

 She describes him as sweet, tender, loving, polite, and exceptionally intelligent—an embodiment of a perfect feline companion.

The day Conejo chose Tania and followed her into that supermarket was a turning point in both their lives.

For Conejo, it marked the moment he found the loving family and nurturing home he had always longed for.

“He accompanies me at all times, he is very sweet, tender, loving, polite and very smart,” says his happy human mom.

Together, they share precious moments spent at home, exciting adventures, and memorable trips that make them both very happy!
