When a 4-week-old orange tabby was brought into a vet hospital in Perth, Australia, he could barely breathe and was in need of urgent attention.

He was taken to the right place because the staff at Warwick Vet Hospital  acted quickly and gave him oxygen therapy to help him breathe.

It turned out that the little kitten had pneumonia and both of his lungs were affected, but one was worse than the other.

He was given antibiotics to help him get better, and after a few days of rest he started to recover.

His bright eyes began to shine, and so did his personality!

They named him Bobby, and he quickly became everyone's favorite little buddy.

Bobby loved to cuddle and play, and he would climb up on people's shoulders like a parrot!

He would also curl up in his cozy cat bed and knead away on his blankie.

Even though the vet discovered that one of his lungs will never fully heal, he put on a brave face and fought hard to survive.

Everyone at the clinic knew that Bobby would need special care for the rest of his life.

So they did the best thing they could, and now he's the official Clinic Cat at the vet hospital!

Bobby is always there to greet clients and offer support to staff.

He loves to play games on staff's phones and even watches cat videos on YouTube!

When Moon, a dog who often visits the clinic, arrived one day and immediately took Bobby under his wing.

He'd given himself the task of training Bobby on reception duties and other necessary chores around the clinic!

"Moon was Bobby's protector from the minute he first arrived. Bobby has fully entered his teenage phase," explains Moon's human, a nurse at the hospital.

"He is so playful towards Moon, and like the good boy Moon is, he takes it all in his stride, even though sometimes Bobby pushes his boundaries."

Bobby has brought so much joy to everyone at the vet hospital, and he's still the same lovable kitty, but now he's bigger and even more cuddly!

And you know what they say, once a shoulder cat, always a shoulder cat!
