Some kittens simply arrive at a foster home and wait quietly for adoption. But Pupu? She had other plans.
From the moment she entered Violeta's life, this tiny ball of fur began rewriting schedules, bending house rules, and completely taking over the morning alarm duties.
If every rescue story deserves a twist, Pupu's tale comes with at least three, each one more heartwarming than the last.

This is the story of a kitten who didn't just get rescued—she made absolutely certain her foster mom knew she was staying in her life, one way or another.

A Desperate Beginning
It all began at the door of the Animal Protection Association Azra, where five impossibly tiny kittens had been abandoned. The shelter was already bursting at the seams, with barely enough space to breathe, let alone accommodate five more hungry mouths.
When Violeta heard about these helpless furballs desperately in need of care, her heart didn't hesitate.
She opened her home and her arms, taking in two of the kittens—PaiPai and Pupu—completely unaware that one of them was about to claim her heart forever.

From day one, both kittens proved themselves professionals at the essential skills of kittenhood: playing with reckless abandon, eating with impressive enthusiasm, napping in the most adorable positions, and purring like tiny motorboats.
But Pupu came with something extra—a persistent stomach problem that slowed her down just enough to make her seek constant comfort and reassurance.

Whenever her tummy troubled her, Pupu would crawl directly into Violeta's lap, settle down with a contented sigh, and gaze up with those impossibly big, soulful eyes.
The kind of eyes that speak an ancient feline language: "Hello, I am fragile and adorable. You have no choice but to love me."
And honestly, who could resist? That's precisely how their extraordinary love story began.

The First Goodbye
After one short week, the foster period officially ended, and both kittens returned to the shelter. One by one, Pupu's siblings found their forever families and headed off to start their new lives.
But fate had different plans for Pupu. Just when it seemed her turn would come, she developed a troublesome skin disease that changed everything.

Instead of heading toward a cozy forever home, Pupu found herself isolated in a quiet room with only one other cat for company.
When that cat was adopted, Pupu was left completely alone—no siblings to wrestle with, no friends to curl up beside, just silence and confusion.

When Violeta came to visit and saw her there, looking so lost and lonely without the companionship she'd grown accustomed to, the decision made itself.
Pupu went home with her once again, this time to receive the medical treatment she desperately needed.
The little kitten settled back into the apartment as if she'd never left, immediately reclaiming her favorite spots and reinstating her morning routine.

Love O'Clock
Every single morning at 5 or 6 AM—without fail and without mercy—Pupu announced that sleeping time had concluded and playtime was officially beginning.
Never mind that Violeta had to start work at 7 AM. Pupu operated on her own schedule, and according to her internal clock, love o'clock was non-negotiable.

The treatment regimen, however, was less delightful. Medicated baths, specialty shampoos, eye drops, ointments—Pupu hated them all with equal passion.
Then, adding insult to injury, she developed an eye infection from the very medicated shampoo meant to heal her.
At this point, it seemed Pupu was collecting health problems the way some kittens collect toy mice—enthusiastically and without discrimination.

Yet through everything, she remained remarkably happy. Except, of course, during treatment time.

Violeta spared no effort or expense helping her tiny patient recover, buying premium food, bottled water, vitamins—anything that might help Pupu grow stronger.
And how did Pupu repay this devoted care? With the most iconic gesture in her personal history: she bit Violeta's headphone cable clean in half!
Then she declared that severed half-cable her absolute favorite toy of all time.

It didn't matter how many proper toys appeared—toy mice, plush sheep, everything a kitten could possibly desire. Pupu's tastes were beautifully simple. She only wanted that cable.

Tiny Tornado
Several times each day, Pupu transformed into a miniature jet engine. She'd zoom from the bedroom headboard all the way to the terrace door and back again, running and leaping like she was training for the Olympics of kitten parkour.
Violeta genuinely worried the neighbors might knock on the door, wondering why it sounded like a stampede of tiny monkeys at the most unusual hours.

Meanwhile, Pupu's curiosity expanded exponentially. Whenever a door cracked open even slightly, she'd make a determined dash toward the kitchen, the bathroom, or anywhere she absolutely wasn't supposed to explore.
Each day brought a little more speed, a little more noise, and a lot more confidence.

Forever Home
Through all the chaos and cable-chewing, Pupu was healing, growing, and thriving. Soon, the most wonderful moment arrived—Pupu found her forever home!
Now she has a family ready to treat her like absolute royalty, space to explore to her heart's content, and a life to enjoy to the fullest.

She doesn't have any feline siblings, which Violeta privately believes is probably for the best. Though Pupu knows how to live among other cats, she can be slightly aggressive, especially when food appears.
As a kitten, she'd chase others away from the food bowl and claim everything for herself—an attitude that never really softened.

But here's the sweetest part of Pupu's story: Violeta still visits her. Their bond didn't end when Pupu moved to her forever home.
It simply evolved into something deeper and more permanent—the kind of connection that holds steady through time and distance.

Pupu proved something beautifully simple yet profound: some bonds just hold, no matter how much life shifts, no matter where you go, and yes—even when your furry best friend destroys your headphones for fun.

And Violeta proved that even if your apartment isn't ideal for a forever cat, you can still change a life, make a difference, and keep a piece of that love with you always.
