24 Adventure Cats That Enjoy The Great Outdoors

We all look forward to going on holiday, but being able to take your cat with you as well, that must surely be one of life’s great pleasures.

Of course, the great outdoors will not suit all felines, but for some of them, going on an adventure with their human is all part of being one of the family.

Lots of people are now posting pictures of their cats joining in the fun on Instagram with the hashtag  #campingwithcats.  When the project started, the hashtag was used only 37 times, but now it is rapidly approaching 100,000 times!

The range of photos and what cat owners are getting up to with their cats when they go camping is truly amazing.

As well as the camping itself, you’ll see cats doing all sorts of adventurous stuff. Often they will be in a canoe or kayak with their humans, or hanging out in an RV or hiking and exploring a trail.

Of course, if you’re taking your cat into the wild you’ll need to take precautions and the best advice is to not let them roam free but to keep them on a leash with a harness.

Often you’ll see folks taking their kitties with them and using a cat carrier backpack like the ones in our guide below.

I think the thing I like to see the most is just the photos of owners and kitties lounging about in their tents after a day in the great outdoors, enjoying the fresh air, the adventure and the peace.
