David Bowie, the legendary British musician and a figurehead of pop’s avant-garde, died on Sunday after an 18-month battle with cancer. He was 69.

The London-born musician was famed for his innovative and experimental approach to music, and of course his innovative fashion sense. Tributes from the cat community have already started to take form on Instagram.

Here we made a small collection to pay hommage to one most popular musicians of our time.

We start we a great picture that proves that Bowie was a cat person! Taken for the 1982 movie Cat People which Bowie wrote the title track for.
