When Jason Belisha’s rental car broke down he found it extremely inconvenient, but then a little gray cat appeared and he couldn’t be more grateful for the engine trouble.
Jason heard a couple of meows in the parking lot and it didn’t tale him long before he found the poor, malnourished kitty.

Now named Popeye, this little kitty was more than happy to come closer and get into Jason’s arms.
It was obvious to Jason that this cat was in need of attention and some tender loving care.

Jason thought the best plan of action was to take Popeye to the local shelter to check if the little one belonged to anyone.
But they couldn’t find an owner and said they weren’t able to help and Jason should put him back on the street as he would be able to survive on his own.

After picking up the car from the repair shop and a visit to the pet store, Jason returned home with the little gray kitten!
Immediately Popeye started using the litter tray and made friends with the dog that lived there, a Corgi named Goose, he even insisted on sleeping in the same bed with his new foster dad and dog brother.

But Jason realized that no matter how much he loved little Popeye, the arrangement couldn’t last forever. With his hectic lifestyle as a musician, he knew that he wouldn't be able to give Popeye the attention he needed.
But then a good friend of Jason reached out and said he would be welcomed into her home if he couldn't keep him.
“I took the opportunity and brought him over before I got too attached to him," said Jason. "Given another few days, I would have gotten irrational!”

Popeye is very happy in his new forever home and even though Jason found it hard to say goodbye, he knew he was doing the right thing.
Jason keeps up with all of his adventures, and Popeye's new mom regularly sends videos of the little gray kitty's antics.
