The Cat Burglars of Darley Abbey, Harry and Luna’s Nighttime Adventures

By the light of day, you'll find Harry and Luna, a pair of charming tuxedo cats, lazing around their house, cuddling with their human Donna.
But when night falls over the streets of Darley Abbey, England, these delightful kitties transform into a notorious, albeit endearing, pair of cat burglars!
Donna first welcomed the duo into her life as playful kittens from a farm and has never looked back.
"Harry likes to be stroked but has a good awareness of personal space and will lie next to me rather than on me, but Luna is all over me, clawing and wouldn't hesitate to lie on my face!”
Once the pair had settled in and were truly part of the family, their adventurous streak began to show through their unique way of expressing gratitude.
They were gifting Donna with "treasures" that were somewhat mysteriously acquired from local homes!
Harry, the agile mastermind, prefers to contribute the high-value finds to their growing loot pile.
We spoke to Donna: "Harry's the one who brings in the real prizes, while Luna loves surprising me with simpler joys like leaves and crisp packets," she chuckles.
She estimates that Harry's contraband collection is worth around £300!
"The neighbours think it's hilarious," Donna shared with We Love Cats and Kittens.
"A few have them have even come forward to collect their belongings."
Over time, the medley of stolen goods started to form an impressive mountain in Donna's home, pushing her to take action.
So she decided to share their unique story on a local Facebook group, saying:
"So it turns out my cats are little thieves, and they've brought me quite a collection over the years - everything from baseball caps and sausages to slippers, socks, and even a shoe!"
Their endearing thievery brought waves of amusement to the neighborhood, and it seems that everyone has taken to their new four-legged bandits with a sense of humor.
"The neighbors still find it quite entertaining, and every now and then they pop over to reclaim their misplaced belongings," Donna says with a warm smile.
Most cats may present their humans with gifts like dead lizards or random bits and bobs, but not Harry, he's more the type to sneak into someone's house to secure you a gently worn designer shoe!
And now there's a new edition to the household, a nine month old kitten named Padme. He loves to tease his older siblings, especially by jumping out on them when they least expect it.
I guess when he's old enough, he'll be recruited to join in their night time shenanigans!
