I love the chirping sounds that cats make when they see a bird.
But why do they make this sound? Some experts believe that is connected to the frustration a cat feels from not being able to reach the prey that is on the other side of the window or that it is simply a reflex motion in anticipation of making the kill. Another theory is that it’s how the cat controls excitement and frustration in seeing potential prey that they cannot get to.
Whatever the reason is behind this chattering and chirping sound it remains one of the mysteries that cats would rather keep to themselves!
