Firefighters in Ames, Iowa may have saved a cat’s life by giving her oxygen after they pulled her from a burning house. Cleo wasn’t breathing or responsive, but firefighters say they always have special pet revival masks on hand and worked for 30 minutes to revive her. She was transported to a vet medical center and her owners say she’s recovering.
The fire department also warned people against going back into a house fire to rescue pet because it’s too easy to be overcome with smoke.
