When little Raven, a Tamaskan Husky pup, was adopted, her family thought that she needed a friend to grow up with.

So they decided to take her to a local shelter so that he could choose a friend for himself.

The little puppy immediately showed interest in one of the kittens there, and likewise the little kitten showed interest in him.

It became obvious to all that these two would be going home together.

“I had always wanted a dog and a cat to grow up together. It’s been like a life goal,” explained Raven’s human. “I wanted them to be able to get along well,” she said.

“So I wanted her to actually meet the cat and have the cat get along with the dog as well.”

They named the little kitten Woodhouse and once at home they realised they had made the right choice. The pair were perfect companions to each other. They even celebrate their birthdays on the same day.

“They are perfect with each other. They don’t cuddle as much as they used to when they were a puppy and kitten. But they’re still always together, always playing together.”

Years later they’re still together and enjoy the company of the newest arrival in their family, a baby girl.
