A tiny kitten was dramatically saved from drowning in a drain pipe by volunteers and firefighters in Virginia, USA.

An heroic woman put her own health at risk to save this tiny life. She actually needed help herself to be pulled free from the drain as she clings onto the tiny furball. And as you can see she is covered in dirt and muck that comes from who knows where.

Now in the hands of a vet this weeks-old kitten will be put up for adoption once fully recovered.

I’m sure this little chap will have no trouble being adopted. I do love an exciting story with a happy ending!
