I love sand cats! Anyone is a regular to our website or Facebook page will know this to be true as I cannot resist posting lots of adorable pictures of this wild cat that are so cute even the adults look like kittens!

Here’s a great insight from Big Cat Rescue, Canyon was sent to them along with four other sand cats from Saudi Arabia in an effort to preserve the species during Operation Desert Storm.

Sand cats are an endangered species and it is estimated that are only around 120 left in the world today. Fortunately, places like Big Cat Rescue are having more success with breeding so hopefully this number is on the increase.
