‘Hope for Paws’ rescue abandoned and homeless animals off the streets of Los Angeles and assist with complex animal rescues around the country.

Recently they got a call  from a woman about a homeless kitten that she’d been feeding for days.

Eldad was the first to the scene and spotted the kitten immediately, the little thing was hiding behind some bushes.

So he tipped out some tuna juice from a can onto a piece of plastic that was lying near and moved away so that the kitten wouldn’t worry about human presence.

While the kitten was lapping up the tuna juice, Eldad moved in very slowly without making a sound and managed to grab him by the scruff of the neck.

In fact, he didn’t struggle at all, not like the usual feral cat rescues. JoAnn was next on the scene and the kitten was quite happy laying in her hands.

When the kitten was safely in the cage they put out more food, this was so they could work out if there were any other kittens in the area.

It was getting late and was time to go but they would be back soon.

They decided to name the kitten Hedgehog, and once back at the clinic it was time for him to have a bubble bath and get squeaky clean.

It was soon discovered that there was actually a whole family living in those bushes, mother included.

Poor Hedgehog had been separated from his family, it was time to go and rescue them too.

Once back at the scene they tried various methods to catch the kittens, it was difficult as there was lots of vegetation.

Patience was the name of the game but as they were luring the kittens with string and food the mother cat sprang out of the bushes.

It was a scary moment for JoAnne, when the mother cat ran straight towards her in attack mode.

Thankfully the mission was a success and now the whole family is together and safe and sound.
