Most people have never seen a cat like this, it has massive paws that act like snowshoes. Yes, we are talking about the Canadian Lynx, a wild cat that is at least twice the size of our domestic kitties. The enormous paws are designed to act like snow shoes, this helps them run better in deep snow.

They are solitary creatures and prefer to hunt at night, they may not be particularly fast, but they have big eyes and superb hearing, making them well equipped for all that night hunting. In 2010, it was estimated that there were around 110,000 lynx in Canada. Let’s hope the population stays that way for this adorable animal.
