Say hello to Winks. His journey began when a Good Samaritan found him all alone, outdoors injured and abandoned.

This kind person immediately took him to the vets where they discovered he was he was emaciated, weak, and afflicted with the Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), a condition often seen in outdoor cats who engage in frequent skirmishes with other cats.

They also discovered he was micro-chipped, this gave them the hope that he could be reconnected with his owner.

But sadly, when they contacted Winks' former human, they decided the best thing would be to surrender him to a rescue organisation.

The reasoning behind this was to give him a chance of a better life in a more stable environment.

While the details of Winks' past remained a mystery, his resilience and zest for life were undeniable.

Despite the loss of an eye and his battle with FIV, Winks vitality for life defies his challenging circumstances.

Though Jess initially presumed him to be a senior cat due to his frail condition, Winks is, in fact, a mere three years old, further testament to his enduring spirit.

Winks' demeanor may be characterized by a quiet reserve, devoid of vocal meows, but his actions speak volumes.

At night, he seeks solace in the comforting presence of Jess, sharing her bed and making it his own.

He nestles on her neck like a cozy scarf or curls up on her head, a tangible display of trust and affection.

Jess has high hopes for Winks' future. She continues to nurture his confidence, enabling him to embark on a journey toward his forever home, should the opportunity arise.

Her heart is undoubtedly overflowing with love for Winks, but if she kept every cat she fostered, there wouldn’t be room for more.
