The Rusty Spotted cat is the world’s smallest feline, they are about half the size of our domestic kitties which makes them about 200 times smaller than a lion, very little is known about the ecology and behaviour of this small and secretive cat. In this rare footage we see him exploring his forest home in Sri Lanka and like all cats, his natural curiosity is bound to get him into trouble.
This clip was taken from a current BBC documentary that explores the life of wild and big cats across the globe. You can find out more here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p05q59zk
