10 Year Old Stray Cat Rescued From the Street Now Drools With Happiness

Say hello to Dolly Parton!
She's a remarkable kitty whose journey is as captivating as her namesake's melodies.
For nearly a decade this brave kitty roamed the streets of Italy, until fate intervened.
Enter Agnieszka, whose heart overflowed with compassion at the sight of Dolly enduring the harsh Italian winters.
Determined to help, Agnieszka set out on a mission to find assistance for the struggling stray.
Yet, the road to Dolly's rescue wasn't easy. Finding someone willing to care for her was a challenge.
Thankfully, Agnieszka remembered Magdalena, a trusted rescuer from Poland, and reached out for help.
Touched by Dolly's story, Magda welcomed her into her home with open arms.
With all the paperwork sorted, Dolly began a new chapter, guided by her newfound guardian angel.
At first, Dolly was wary and uncertain, seeking refuge in a quiet corner.
Building trust took time, but with Magda's patience and care, she began to open up, especially enjoying the company of her new feline friend, Malaika.
However, Dolly's journey to health had its hurdles.
A trip to the vets revealed dental issues and a worrying lump that required surgery.
After five teeth were removed, the nasty inflammation in Dolly’s mouth was gone, and Magda heard her purring for the first time!
Yet, the journey to restoration was far from over. A subsequent surgery to remove that troubling lump unearthed unforeseen challenges, including two large holes in Dolly's throat.
Despite the uncertainty looming on the horizon, Magda remained steadfast in her resolve to provide unwavering support.
While Magda is waiting for results and tries to stay positive despite suspicions of cancer, Dolly starts to feel comfortable in her mom’s house.
As she convalesced, a remarkable transformation unfolded.
From timid beginnings, she blossomed into a creature brimming with newfound confidence and affection.
Magda was delighted to see her sleeping on the couch and not in the closet, or on a chair under the table.
“I sat next to her very carefully so as not to scare her. I started petting her and almost fainted with excitement when Dolly started moving towards me,” Magda shared with We Love Cats and Kittens.
Their shared moments on the couch became cherished rituals, a silent affirmation of the bond forged through trials and triumphs.
And Magda really doesn’t mind if Dolly drools when she's happy – after all, clothes can be washed!
In the sanctuary of Magda's home, Dolly found not only solace but also companionship.
She forged deep connections with Malaika and Tadela, probably something she'd never experienced before.
Dolly also enjoyed hanging out with some of Magda's foster kittens - enjoying snuggles with them in their bed.
Now, as Dolly settles into her newfound forever home, her days are filled with warmth and contentment.
With the help of Magda she was finally leaving behind the shadows of her past.
It’s a shame Dolly didn’t find a home and family earlier, but at least she will have all the care she needs and lots of love in her senior days.
